Architecture
How is security implemented with EventGuard?
🛡 All traffic is encrypted, including browser to dashboard and agent to dashboard by HTTPS
🛡 No database credentials are stored on agent machines. Agents authenticate using an API key only
🛡 EventGuard uses DPAPI encryption for data at rest
🛡 Admin credentials are stored as scrypt hashes. They are never stored as plain text.
🛡 Active Directory integration. You can optionally authenticate using existing domain credentials via LDAP
Agents send events via HTTPS
Log aggregator Agents authenticate with the Dashboard server via API key. Only the Dashboard server holds the database credentials and are encrypted at rest with Windows DPAPI.
